A+ PA Educators

PA-C supporting PA-S

Our Mission

A+ PA Educators offers a unique educational experience for Physician Assistant programs and students by providing education and mentors from PAs who are experts in their field.

Our Purpose

We are two practicing Physician Assistants (Associates) who have a passion for educating future PAs! We want to ensure PA students continue to uphold the standards of care that our profession has become known for. Since we are actively practicing, we have access to resources that would be beneficial to future PAs. Bringing in practicing PAs who are experts in their field to lecture and teach about specialties can benefit the students and help them prepare for clinical roles after graduation and help them seek their dream job by networking and connecting with mentors!

Actively practicing PA-Cs engaging in classroom settings increases student engagement, provides unique networking opportunities, and better prepares the student for clinical practice.

A+ PA educators will work closely with each program to find individuals who are experts in their field to provide lectures, conduct workshops, and skill labs during the didactic year of the PA program.

A+ PA educators will provide consulting services for current PA students, such as help writing a CV and reviewing job contracts.

Let A+ PA Educators help you produce A+ Clinicians!

Anisa, PA-C

Hello, My name is Anisa and I am from Atlanta, GA! I received my undergraduate degree from Berry College in Biochemistry/Psychology. I attended Mercer University's PA program and Graduated in 2015. I started my PA career in Emergency Medicine. After 3 years of practicing, I wanted to get involved in Cardiac Surgery since I always had a special interest in CT Surgery. It was very difficult applying for jobs for which I had no experience in, so I was hopeful for a position to open that was willing to train me. I even considered the residency option. After many job applications and interviews that did not feel like the right fit, I emailed the guest lecturer who had taught one of our courses. I quickly received an email back stating they were about to open a position. I shadowed, and interviewed and now 4 years later I am PA practicing in a very busy Cardiac surgery practice.

Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of teaching at different PA programs and conducting a workshop at AAPA. I have been a preceptor in emergency medicine and now in cardiac surgery.

I am a strong PA today because I had the opportunity to connect with other strong Physician Assistants.

Amanda, PA-C

My name is Amanda, and I'm from Vermont, where I grew up with my parents and my four brothers. I went to undergrad at URI (University of Rhode Island) and received my Bachelor's in Chemistry, Biology and French. I love to travel so I spent time working and travelling prior to PA School. I graduated with Anisa in 2015 from Mercer University in Atlanta, GA. After graduation, I worked in Family Medicine as an active duty member of the US Air Force. Upon separating, I continued working in outpatient Family Practice, and then eventually transitioned into Cardiology, a mixture of inpatient and outpatient practice. Currently, I am working in Stroke Neurology. I've always had a passion for eduction and teaching, so I look forward to helping mentor and educate future PAs!
